West Virginia men's soccer team dominated Marshall in the Mountain State Derby, winning 3-0 on Halloween.
The Mountaineers' victory improved their record to 11-3-2, while Marshall fell to 8-2-5. WVU now leads the Mountain State Derby 18-8-4.
"I said to the guys, the best way to get over the line is to score the second, score the third,"
said head coach Dan Stratford. "It's nice when they do what they're told, and put the ball in the back of the net."
With the win, WVU would have tied with Kentucky atop the Sun Belt Conference, but the Wildcats beat Georgia State 1-0, securing 21 points and the tiebreaker.
