On a Thursday evening in September, a boutique on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris's 1st arrondissement was abuzz with excitement as the crowd gathered to celebrate the launch of a new fragrance brand, Solférino.

Solférino was created by Philippe Benacin, co-founder of Interparfums, which develops and distributes fragrances for notable brands such as Nina Ricci, Lacoste, and Karl Lagerfeld.

"I wanted to rekindle the link between high perfumery and the Parisian imagination,"
