Peaceful Polls for Punjab Bar Council
Over 12,000 lawyers cast their ballots in the Punjab Bar Council (PBC) elections in the Rawalpindi Division.
The polling was held in a peaceful and orderly manner, with thousands of lawyers gathering at the District Courts Complex to vote.
- Malik Fakhar Hayat is leading with 1,126 votes
- Hassan Abbas Hamdani has 721 votes
- Faisal Mahmood Malik has 648 votes
- Shahid Mahmood Abbasi has 607 votes
- Chaudhary Qaiser Mushtaq has 578 votes
Lawyers celebrated outside the Judicial Complex, dancing and chanting slogans after the tentative results were released.
No official statement was given, but the tally shows a clear lead for five of the eight seats.
