Eagles Acquire Former Pro Bowl CB Jaire Alexander from Ravens

The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens in a trade deal. In exchange for Alexander and a 2027 seventh-round pick, the Eagles sent a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Ravens.

This move aims to address the team's struggles at outside cornerback, a position that has been a revolving door since parting ways with Darius Slay in the offseason. The Eagles have been searching for a replacement opposite Quinyon Mitchell, and Alexander's addition comes after the recent acquisition of Michael Carter II from the New York Jets.

Alexander, 26, brings a high level of experience and achievement, including two Pro Bowl selections and two second-team All-Pro nods. He was a 2018 first-round pick (18th overall) out of Louisville and has played seven seasons in the NFL, posting 292 combined tackles, 12 interceptions, and 70 passes defended.

None of the previous attempts have stuck yet, but the Eagles are hoping Alexander's pedigree will bring stability to the position.
