A Chinese Farmer's Unique Hobby: Building a Working Submarine
A Chinese farmer, Zhang Shengwu, from the Anhui province, has built a working submarine with a surprisingly low investment of around $5,570.
Unlike common hobbies such as flying drones, collecting stamps, or building kit cars, Zhang spent a decade constructing his own personal submarine, which he calls "Big Black Fish".
Zhang, who grew up along the Yangtze River, has a diverse work background in shipping, farming, carpentry, and welding, but had no prior experience working on submarines.
He calls his submarine "Big Black Fish".
Zhang's achievement is a rare feat, making him one of the few individuals to build their own submarine.
