Citizens of Brantford are invited to gather and honor those who have served, and continue to serve, Canada in both wartime and peacetime. The community stands alongside others across the nation in paying tribute to their courage and sacrifice.
“We encourage members of our community to join us on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as we remember, with deep respect and immense gratitude, the remarkable sacrifices of others,” said Sharon Sayles, communications advisor for the City of Brantford.
The civic ceremony will begin at 10:50 a.m. and feature a fly-past by a B-25 Mitchell bomber and an FF46 Firefly aircraft from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, weather permitting. During the service, a student from John’s College, winner of a local speech-writing contest, will present her piece titled The Role of Canadian Soldiers in War One.
The names of one First World War veteran and twenty-two Second World War veterans, recently identified as missing from the Brant War Memorial, will also be recognized during the ceremony.
Brantford cadets and citizens unite for a solemn vigil and Remembrance Day ceremony, honoring Canadian veterans through reflection, recognition, and symbolic commemoration.
