Canon announced the EOS R6 Mark III, a versatile full-frame mirrorless camera designed for both photography and video. It launches on November 25th, priced at $2,799 for the body alone.
The EOS R6 Mark III fits users seeking a balance between resolution and price, offering a significant step-up from the previous 24-megapixel model without the higher cost of the EOS R5 Mark II.
Canon states the new marking compared to its predecessor: “The Mark III can also capture higher-quality video up to 4K / 120p and 7K / 60p RAW, including support for full corner-to-corner open gate filming for extra cropping flexibility.”
Features designed for video creators include “a tally lamp to make it obvious from afar when you’re filming and the move from a Micro HDMI port to a full-size Type A HDMI.”
The revised card slot configuration incorporates a faster CFexpress Type B slot, enhancing storage capabilities.
The EOS R6 Mark III offers a compelling upgrade with higher resolution and advanced video features, targeting photographers and videographers seeking high performance at a moderate price.
