Actor Jeremy Renner has recently faced serious allegations from Chinese filmmaker and writer Yi Zhou. On November 6, The Daily Mail published an exclusive report revealing that Renner allegedly sent explicit images to Zhou.
Over several Instagram posts, Zhou described disturbing incidents involving Renner. She shared that after having a drink, Renner became angry to the point where she had to lock herself in the washroom for safety. She said:
“I had to lock myself in the washroom because he became so mad.”
The media outlet also displayed screenshots of conversations between Zhou and her coworkers. In one chat, she expressed concern about Renner's violent mood and asked if she could call someone.
In a recent Instagram post displaying the word ‘CANCEL,’ Zhou detailed the hardships she endured over recent months. She wrote about the emotional toll the situation took on her.
Another post revealed that Zhou called Renner asking him to improve his behavior and show respect towards her. However, their conversation did not end positively:
“I wanted him to be respectful, but the call did not go well.”
Yi Zhou told The Daily Mail that she did not initiate contact with Renner; instead, he reached out to her first. She stated:
“It was Jeremy Renner who contacted me, not the other way around.”
One screenshot in the report showed Zhou calling Renner a “pig” after receiving the inappropriate photos.
Yi Zhou's allegations against Jeremy Renner involve inappropriate behavior, including sending explicit images and causing fear due to his anger, which she publicly condemned.
Author's note: These accusations highlight serious concerns about personal boundaries and accountability in the entertainment industry.
