Filmmaker Yi Zhou has accused actor Jeremy Renner of misconduct and intimidation. The 54-year-old Marvel star, best known for portraying Hawkeye, allegedly sent her explicit images without consent and later threatened her with deportation.
According to Zhou, Renner began sending her unsolicited explicit photographs in June 2024. When she confronted him about his behavior, he allegedly retaliated by threatening to contact immigration authorities.
“It is with deep regret, sadness, and disappointment that I am compelled to share a truth I have been holding inside for too long. Mr. Renner first contacted me directly in June, sending personal and intimate photographs of himself, behavior that, according to public reports, he has exhibited before.”
“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me. No woman, filmmaker, or creative should have to work under such emotional and psychological pressure while trying to protect her name and the integrity of her work.”
Stanisland Magazine has reached out to Jeremy Renner’s representatives for a statement, but no official response has been issued yet.
Yi Zhou’s claims against Jeremy Renner highlight serious allegations of harassment and intimidation within a professional collaboration, sparking public concern over conduct in the film industry.
