Trailer Park Boys Actor Charged with Sexual Assault

Mike Smith, known for his role as Bubbles in Trailer Park Boys, has been charged with sexual assault in Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service informed Acadia Broadcasting that Smith's arraignment is scheduled for November.

According to court documents provided to Acadia Broadcasting, the charge relates to an alleged incident that occurred on December 30, 2017, in or near Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Smith was instructed to have no contact with the complainant and to avoid her home, workplace, or any educational institutions. He signed an undertaking to this effect in October.

The prosecution confirmed it will seek a publication ban to protect the identity of the victim, as required by the Canadian Criminal Code. It remains unclear whether Smith will appear in court personally or be represented by his lawyer.
