Suspected Stolen Mercedes Hits Footpath After Police Chase
Footage has emerged of a suspected stolen Mercedes careering along a footpath after attempting to swerve a police stinger during a pursuit.
Patrols had requested the driver to stop in Sturry Road, Canterbury, at around 10am, but the driver continued, hitting three other cars before officers lost sight of the vehicle.
A police stinger was used to try and bring the speeding Mercedes to a stop along the A28 Island Road, outside the Hoplands housing development.
The vehicle attempted to swerve the trap but its offside rear tyre appears to be clipped.
