Rumours Haunt Aldag's Run in Langley Township Council Byelection
John Aldag, a former two-time federal Liberal MP and provincial NDP candidate, has repeatedly denied claims that he is secretly allied with an existing slate.
Aldag has had to publicly deny online rumours that he's secretly in league with Mayor Eric Woodward and the mayor's Progress With Langley slate.
"How do you shake a rumour?"
Aldag has stated that he would work with the majority slate on council, Progress For Langley, if he agreed with them, but would not if he disagreed.
He noted that Progress With Langley will control council no matter who wins the byelection, with five of the nine seats.
