Bangkok Police Dismantle Sophisticated Drug Operation
Bangkok police have taken down a foreign-led drug operation in the Sukhumvit area.
Seven foreign nationals, including Egyptians, Pakistanis, Afghans, Myanmar nationals, and an Iraqi, along with one Thai woman, were arrested for suspected involvement in running a hair salon as a front for narcotics sales.
- 23 hookah stoves and pots were confiscated
- 55 boxes of snuff were seized
- 125 packs of illegal cigarettes were found
- Three bank account books were discovered
- More than 125,000 baht in cash was recovered, with an additional 4,000 baht from a sting operation
A hidden "secret room" was also discovered where clients could use illegal drugs.
