Important USCIS Updates
This week, we will cover recent updates from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that directly affect applications and petitions.
- USCIS has introduced a new electronic debit payment method from a U.S. bank account.
- To use this method, individuals must complete and sign Form G-1650, Authorization for ACH Transactions, and file it with their applications, petitions, or requests.
This change aligns with Executive Order 14247, Modernizing Payments to and from America’s Bank Account, aiming to reduce processing time, manpower, and risks of fraud, lost payments, and theft.
The new ACH debit payment option is in addition to the existing credit card payment option using Form G-1450, providing individuals with multiple payment options for required fees.
