Journalists' Struggle for Environmental Coverage
30 journalists embody the struggle for freely reported environmental coverage, facing obstruction, threats, arrest, attack, jail, or even death.
From Cambodia to the Amazon, from France to Egypt, journalists covering natural resource stories are often persecuted. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) highlights 30 such cases in the past year.
Our goal: to leave no breach of freedom of information unreported.
With COP30 beginning on 10 November in Belém, Brazil, RSF calls on governments to defend reliable reporting and its actors in the fight against climate change.
RSF publishes daily reports, investigations, and a world press freedom ranking from 115 countries.
