Allegany County Conducts Fall Pill Drop
Allegany County held its biannual pill drop event in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Take Back Day in Belfast.
Community members disposed of 19.4 pounds of unwanted or unused medications. The event aimed to educate the community about the 14 Take It to the Box locations throughout Allegany County, available for year-round medication disposal.
The agencies use these events to promote proper medication disposal and reduce potential misuse.
