Lorenzo Musetti secured a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Alexandre Muller on Thursday, advancing to the semifinals of the ATP tournament in Athens and keeping his hopes alive for a spot in the season-ending ATP Finals.
Upcoming Match and ATP Finals Qualification
Musetti, ranked 9th in the world, must win the Athens tournament to surpass Felix Auger-Aliassime and claim the final qualifying position for the ATP Finals in Turin next week.
Whoever secures the last spot will join a group featuring world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, and Ben Shelton.
On Friday, Musetti is set to face American Sebastian Korda in the semifinals.

The top seed of the tournament, world No. 5 Novak Djokovic, is also aiming to reach the semifinals as he prepares to play Nuno Borges later on Thursday.
The 38-year-old Djokovic has already qualified for Turin and will compete in a group with Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur.
