$28 Million Glenorchy Sports Centre Moves Closer
A new $28 million sports and recreation centre for Hobart’s northern suburbs advances as the state government releases construction tenders. The Glenorchy Sports Centre will be located at Claremont College.
Facilities and Sports Supported
The centre will feature four indoor courts designed for netball, basketball, futsal, volleyball, and wheelchair sports.

- A show court with seating for 300, expandable to 600 with portable seats
- Modern changerooms, parent and sensory rooms
- A registered Changing Places facility for people with disabilities
- Three multipurpose meeting rooms for club activities and community events
- Parking for 68 vehicles
