Conservative media star Megyn Kelly shared her pick for the 2028 Republican presidential nomination during an interview with the Daily Mail. As the MAGA movement considers who might succeed President Donald Trump, Kelly expressed confidence in a ticket she believes could dominate the election.
Kelly dismissed speculation about a potential Trump third term and highlighted two rising stars within the Republican Party as the future leaders.
"I think it's going to be JD Vance," Kelly said. "And my prayer is that his running mate is Marco Rubio. I think they'll clean up, those two together. I think that's a dream ticket."
She also noted President Trump's consistent endorsement of these figures when asked about his political heir.
"Trump said it the other day, and I agree. Trump, interestingly, always mentions Marco when somebody asks him who's the heir apparent, who's going to be the next president? They always say, 'Is it JD, is it JD?' and he always says, 'JD is great, and Marco, and Marco.'"
Kelly pointed out that Trump appears to be paving the way for Marco Rubio to join JD Vance on a joint ticket.
"So, you know, it's interesting, Trump's definitely making room for Marco. And then last week, he explicitly said they'd be great on a joint ticket."
This conversation took place amid the launch of The Megyn Kelly Channel on Sirius XM, which will feature her show alongside other prominent commentators.
Megyn Kelly envisions JD Vance and Marco Rubio as a powerful Republican ticket for 2028, supported indirectly by President Trump and poised to energize the party's future leadership.
