Gavin McInnes, the founder of the Proud Boys, has returned to the site formerly known as Twitter, reportedly due to a collaborative effort involving leading members of the British far right and Elon Musk.
“I’m kind of cringing at how happy I am about it,”
McInnes told TPM, after being suspended from Twitter in 2018 amid concerns about the activities of the Proud Boys and other violent right-wing extremist organizations.
The crackdown on the Proud Boys reached its peak after the January 6th incident.
