Report: Orioles Sign Outfielder Leody Taveras

According to reports from Jon Heyman of the New York Post and Spanish broadcaster Mike Rodriguez, free agent outfielder Leody Taveras has agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract with the Baltimore Orioles.

Performance Overview

The 27-year-old switch-hitting center fielder appeared in 58 games this season with the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers, posting a .205 batting average with three home runs, 17 RBIs, and a .530 OPS. He also stole nine bases in 12 attempts.

During the 2024 season with the Rangers, Taveras played in 151 games, hitting .229 with 12 home runs, 44 RBIs, and a .641 OPS. He successfully stole 23 bases out of 29 attempts.

Minor League Stint
