Forever Canadian Bus Tour
Thomas Lukaszuk visited Whitecourt, Edson, and Hinton in October as part of the Forever Canadian petition against Alberta separatism.
Lukaszuk stopped in Whitecourt, and also drove his "unity bus" into Edson and Hinton on October 22, with a deadline to gather 293,976 signatures.
"In Hinton, I was shocked – they really pulled in a lot of signatures,"
Lukaszuk described support for the petition from the region as "phenomenal". The petition asks, "Do you agree that Alberta should remain in Canada?"
- Several Whitecourt residents have become official canvassers for the petition.
